Juliet Gellatley, our Founder and Director, has won a prestigious award commemorating Viva!’s achievements over the past 25 years and celebrating Juliet’s incredible work for animal rights.

Juliet was honoured to receive the ‘Vegan Award’ at The People, Environment, Achievements (P.E.A) Awards – the UK’s biggest green award that celebrates sustainability heroes from every sector.

Viva! has been at the forefront of the vegan movement for over 25 years now and it’s fantastic for our hard work for the animals and the environment to be recognised.

Juliet Gellatley, our founder, said: “I was delighted to receive the Vegan P.E.A Award, celebrating all Viva! has done for the animals, the environment and more over the past 25 years.”

“I’ve been fighting for animal rights my entire adult life, so to see veganism finally hitting the mainstream is truly groundbreaking. I hope this encourages more people to become sustainability heroes in their own life by choosing vegan.”

Juliet has been fighting for veganism and sustainability long before climate change was making the headlines, and continues to work tirelessly for a world that is kind to all.

Jarvis Smith, co-founder of My Green Pod and the P.E.A Awards said: “Juliet has been leading the charge for the vegan movement for over 25 years, I can only imagine the resistance she may have come across in that time yet she has stayed true to her purpose.”

“As a vegan myself, and witnessing the unconscious cruelty to animals especially in factory farming, Juliet is a HERO for being a pioneer in making this a mainstream issue. Keep up the good work Juliet, you really deserve this award.”

Receiving the P.E.A Award trophy, hand-crafted out of recycled materials, was a true privilege and the perfect way to reflect on all we’ve achieved.
