FREE Dairy-Free Milkshakes For Students!

Viva! shake

From 23 September, vegan charity Viva! will be taking on the university fresher’s with their pop-up dairy-free milkshake bar, offering FREE vegan milkshakes. What better way to settle into university life  than with a free milkshake?

Viva! – the UK’s leading vegan campaigning charity – are visiting five major universities to give out free vegan milkshakes, as part of their Viva!shake tour.

The tour kicks off on 23 September. Vegan activists will be stationed at the Sheffield Student Union from 10am on Monday 23 September to encourage students to start the new term with a compassionate, vegan lifestyle. The Viva!shake tour will also be visiting fresher’s fairs in Manchester, Nottingham, Southampton and Cambridge.

Will Sorflaten, Viva! Campaigner, explains the reasoning behind Viva!shake:

“We’re coming to Sheffield to educate students about the health, animal welfare and environmental motivations for going dairy-free. With this event, we are hoping to reach new students who may have never considered plant-based alternatives”.

“Going dairy-free is such a positive and simple change to make. And with chocolate cookie, blueberry, protein crunch, and salted caramel milkshakes on offer, we’re going to be showing students how delicious it is too! It is so easy and cost-effective to be vegan at university, more and more young people are choosing to use their consumer power to lessen their environmental impact and save animals”.

“So if you want to try one of our milkshakes or simply want to learn more about veganism, come visit our stall. We’re expecting queues so make sure that you get there early to enjoy some free tasty treats!”
